Long Beach Memorial Medical Center Expands Pediatric Pulmonary Chronic Care

Long Beach, Calif.-based Memorial Medical Center has expanded its Miller Children’s Hospital Pediatric Pulmonary Center to care for chronically hospitalized patients, according to a report from the Press Telegram.

Pediatric pulmonary patients often suffer from multiple diagnoses, making treatment a challenge. The new expansion includes a dedicated inpatient area for patients with respiratory conditions, which will allow healthcare teams to provide better care coordination to children who are chronically hospitalized due to complications from pulmonary illnesses, according to the report.
