Rex Heart, Wake Heart Become North Carolina Heart and Vascular

University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill-affiliated practices Wake Heart & Vascular Associates and Rex Heart & Vascular Specialists have combined to form North Carolina Heart and Vascular in Raleigh, N.C.

The new group will have approximately three-dozen physicians at 19 offices around the state.

The group will also be instrumental in orchestrating patient care at the N.C. Heart & Vascular Hospital, which will open in 2016 in Raleigh, according to a news release.
