Tampa General Hospital CEO Ron Hytoff Announces Retirement

Ron Hytoff has announced his retirement as president and CEO of Tampa (Fla.) General Hospital, according to a Tampa Bay Times report.

Mr. Hytoff came to TGH as COO in May 1997, and he began serving as CEO in February 2000. Since his arrival, TGH has seen patient volumes double and net revenues more than triple to $1.2 billion this past year. Before serving TGH, Mr. Hytoff was president and CEO of University of Louisville (Ky.) Hospital for six years. He has had a 41-year career in hospital management.

Mr. Hytoff will continue serving as TGH’s CEO until the hospital finds a replacement.
