Mr. Hughes brings more than 35 years of healthcare strategy and clinical business development experience to the role.
He most recently was vice president of operations and chief strategy officer of Wentworth-Douglass, where he played a key role in the integration with Boston-based Massachusetts General Hospital, new clinical services line development and the opening and growth of the Portsmouth (N.H.) Outpatient Center, according to a hospital news release.
Mr. Hughes has a master’s degree in public health from the Yale University School of Public Health in New Haven, Conn.
