WellStar COO named Georgia Hospital Association chair

Marietta, Ga.-based WellStar Health System President and COO, Candice Saunders, has been named chair of the Georgia Hospital Association.

Ms. Saunders has served as president and COO of WellStar Health System since 2013. Previously, she served as president of WellStar Kennestone Regional Medical Center, also in Marietta.

Ms. Saunders succeeds former Atlanta, Ga.-based Emory Healthcare President and CEO John Fox as GHA chair. Mr. Fox resigned earlier this month after accepting the role as president and CEO of Detroit-based Beaumont Health System.
