Washington system taps chief physician officer

Todd Czartoski, MD, was appointed chief physician officer of Tacoma, Wash.-based MultiCare Health System. 

Mr. Czartoski, a vascular neurologist, has served as president and chief medical officer for MultiCare Neuroscience Institute and virtual health services since February 2024, according to a June 2 system news release. 

He also previously served as chief executive of telehealth and chief medical technology officer at Renton, Wash.-based Providence.

In his new role, he replaces David O’Brien, MD, who will remain at MultiCare until the end of August, according to the release.

MultiCare is a 13-hospital system with more than 28,000 employees.
