UT Medical Center appoints new CIO

Knoxville-based University of Tennessee Medical Center has dubbed Michael Saad vice president and CIO.

Mr. Saad has been UT Medical Center’s interim CIO for the past few months. Before joining the medical center, he worked as a senior consultant for Atlanta-based TrustPoint Solutions. He was also vice president and CIO for Detroit-based Henry Ford Health System, as well as vice president of IT for Troy, Mich.-based BBDO.

In addition, Mr. Saad is a member of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives and is currently completing his second bachelor’s degree at Salt Lake City-based Western Governors University.
