UP Health System-Marquette CEO Ed Banos resigns: 3 things to know

Ed Banos, CEO of Upper Peninsula Health System-Marquette (Mich.), will leave his position for an opportunity in San Antonio, according to a TV6 News report.

Here are three things to know about Mr. Banos and his departure.   

1. Market President for UP Health System Jim Bogan will take over as CEO effective June 11 while a national search is launched for a new permanent CEO, according to the report.

2. Mr. Banos became CEO in 2013.

3. Mr. Bogan said of Mr. Banos, "Ed's contributions to the hospital and UP Health System have been tremendous, and we wish him further success in this next chapter of his career," according to the report.
