The University of Rochester (N.Y.) Medical Center selected Karen K. Davis, PhD, MSN, RN, to serve as associate vice president and chief nursing executive, effective June 1.

She will also serve as assistant dean for clinical practice at the University of Rochester School of Nursing.

Dr. Davis comes to URMC from Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Health System. She joined Johns Hopkins in 1989.
