University of Cincinnati Medical Center chief administrative officer resigns: 3 notes

Rick Shumway, vice president and chief administrative officer of University of Cincinnati Medical Center, is leaving the role for a new opportunity, effective April 18.

Three notes:

1. Mr. Shumway leaving to serve as president and CEO of Pleasanton, Calif.-based Stanford Health Care-ValleyCare.

2. He became chief administrative officer of University of Cincinnati Medical Center in May 2017.

3. He was previously executive director of Salt Lake City-based University of Utah Health Care.

"During Rick Shumway's time as vice president and chief administrative officer at UC Health's UC Medical Center, we have accomplished much and our teams are poised to continue this momentum," said Ann Smith, Cincinnati-based UC Health's senior vice president of inpatient services. "This is a wonderful advancement opportunity for Rick and we wish him well."
