Worcester, Mass.-based UMass Memorial Health has promoted two leaders at HealthAlliance-Clinton Hospital.
Joseph Tennyson, MD, was promoted to chief medical officer for HealthAlliance-Clinton Hospital and HealthAlliance Home Health and Hospice, according to a March 12 health system news release.
Dr. Tennyson most recently served as interim chief medical officer for HealthAlliance-Clinton Hospital and Marlborough (Mass.) Hospital, which is now a campus of UMass Memorial Medical Center. During that time, he led initiatives including the launch of a remote patient monitoring program, work related to CMS patient safety structural measures and the integration of the Leominster emergency department into UMass Memorial Medical Group, according to the release.
UMass Memorial Health also promoted John Kelly, BSN, RN, to vice president and COO/CNO at HealthAlliance-Clinton Hospital. He assumed the role Sept. 28, 2025.
Mr. Kelly previously served as vice president and COO/CNO at Marlborough Hospital. According to the release, he recently helped lead an emergency department expansion and regulatory processes tied to Marlborough Hospital’s merger with UMass Memorial Medical Center and the development of a proton therapy center.
