UF Health taps inaugural quality chief

Gainesville, Fla.-based UF Health has appointed John Hollingsworth, MD, as the system’s inaugural chief quality officer.

Dr. Hollingsworth most recently served as chief quality officer of UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville and UF Health Physicians, according to a Dec. 9 news release. He previously held safety and quality leadership roles at the University of Michigan Health System in Ann Arbor and NorthShore University HealthSystem in Evanston, Ill. 

In his new role, Dr. Hollingsworth will design and oversee systemwide quality strategies for both inpatient and outpatient settings, working closely with the system’s regional chief quality officers, chief medical officers and chief nursing officers.
