UC San Francisco Health taps Sheila Antrum as COO: 4 things to know

UC San Francisco Health promoted Sheila Antrum, RN, BSN, to senior vice president and COO.

Here are four things to know about Ms. Antrum.

1. Currently, Ms. Antrum is president of UCSF Medical Center and responsible for various areas of adult patient services across UCSF Health’s West Bay locations and affiliates, said UCSF Health President and CEO Mark Laret in announcing the promotion.

2. Mr. Laret said Ms. Antrum will continue her current responsibilities with her promotion, and she also “will ensure that the operations of our patient services across our entire health system, align with UCSF Health’s vision and strategic objectives,” among other duties.

3. Previously, Ms. Antrum served as chief nursing and patient care services officer for UCSF Medical Center and Benioff Children’s Hospital San Francisco.

4. Ms. Antrum earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Hampton (Va.) University and a master’s degree in health services administration from the University of Michigan School of Public Health in Ann Arbor.
