Lake Regional Health System promotes Melissa Hunter to chief nursing officer: 4 points

Osage Beach, Mo.-based Lake Regional Health System appointed Melissa Hunter, MSN, RN, senior vice president of clinical services and chief nursing officer.

Here are four points:

1. Ms. Hunter's previous roles with the organization include director of nursing and emergency department manager.

2. She also worked as a registered nurse on a medical/surgical floor and as a staff nurse and charge nurse in the ED.

3. She worked at Lake Regional since 1997.

4. She succeeds Patti Muxlow, who is retiring after 29 years of service at Lake Regional.
