Here are four things to know:
1. Dr. Arfaa currently serves as chief patient experience officer as well as vice president for patient experience at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.
2. She created Jefferson’s first Patient and Family Advisory Council and oversaw its All-STAR Reward and Recognition Program.
3. She holds a PhD in organizational leadership and development from University of Maryland in College Park as well as a master’s degree in health services administration from The George Washington University’s School of Public Health and Health Services in Washington, D.C.
4. In her new role, Dr. Arfaa will work with UC Health’s Patient Experience Committee.
