TriStar Horizon Medical Center CEO John Marshall announces retirement

John Marshall, CEO of Dickson, Tenn.-based TriStar Horizon Medical Center, has announced plans to retire at the end of the year, according to a report in The Tennessean.

Mr. Marshall, who has more than 42 years of experience in the healthcare industry, joined TriStar Horizon as CEO in December 2002.

During his tenure at TriStar Horizon, Mr. Marshall led several safety initiatives and service line expansions, including a landmark patient safety movement and the 2007 opening of TriStar Natchez Medical Park.

Steve Corbeil, president and CEO of TriStar Health, told The Tennessean Mr. Marshall had “enhanced TriStar Horizon’s legacy by leading by example and fostering an environment of compassionate quality care.”

A search to find TriStar Horizon’s next CEO is underway, according to the report.
