Valley View Medical Center names Fred Capozello CEO

Fort Mohave, Ariz.-based Valley View Medical Center has appointed Fred Capozello, MBA, CPA, as CEO, effective immediately, according to a report in the Mohave Valley Daily News.

Mr. Capozello served as the hospital’s CFO since January 2014 and as interim CEO since August following the departure of Bob Luther.

Mr. Capozello has more than 20 years of healthcare management experience. Prior to joining Valley View Medical Center, he served as vice president of finance operations and Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego. He also served as COO and CFO at Tulare (Calif.) Regional Medical Center. Mr. Capozello has served in various leadership positions with Fallbrook, Calif.-based Community Health Systems, and at numerous Tenet Hospitals located in Paramount, Bellflower and Huntington Park, Calif.

“Since Fred arrived at Valley View in January, his integrity and leadership style have continued to impress the board,” Karla Brady, chairwoman of the Valley View Board of Trustees, told the Mohave Valley Daily News. “His unique ability to keep a keen eye on financial and operational objectives while maintaining a strong commitment to quality outcomes is exactly what our hospital needs in its future leader.”
