1. Mr. Henkel most recently served as president and CEO of St. Louis-based Ascension Healthcare, a 151-hospital system.

2. He has previously served in leadership roles at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City and Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Fla.
