Tenet adds ‘president’ to COO Dr. Saum Sutaria’s title

Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare promoted Saum Sutaria, MD, to president and COO, effective immediately.

As president and COO, Dr. Sutaria he will continue to oversee Tenet’s hospital operations segment and assume responsibility for United Surgical Partners International and Conifer Health Solutions, Tenet subsidiaries.

He became COO of Tenet in January. Before that, he worked at McKinsey & Co. for 18 years and held an associate clinical faculty position at University of California-San Francisco, where he also completed postgraduate medical training.
