Summa Health appoints CMO of quality: 4 things to know

Akron, Ohio-based Summa Health tapped Brad Martin, MD, to serve as CMO of quality.

Four things to know:

1. Dr. Martin also serves as the health system’s vice president of medical affairs.

2. He was previously chair of the department of medicine and has served as a member of Summa’s medical staff for 30-plus years.

3. He holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Athens-based Ohio University, in addition to his medical degrees.

4. As CMO of quality, Dr. Martin will focus on physician collaboration in strategic initiatives, among other areas.
