Atlanta-based Piedmont Healthcare named Stephen Porter CEO of Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, Ga., effective June 24.
Four things to know:
1. Mr. Porter most recently served as CEO of Roper St. Francis Healthcare in Charleston, S.C.
2. Previously, he served as president and CEO of Sentara Northern Virginia Regional Hospital in Woodbridge, Va.
3. Mr. Porter holds a master of health administration degree from Richmond-based Medical College of Virginia.
4. He succeeds Michael Burnett, who was named CEO of Piedmont Athens (Ga.) Regional Medical Center.
