2. Previously, he served as president and CEO of Sentara Northern Virginia Regional Hospital in Woodbridge, Va.
3. Mr. Porter holds a master of health administration degree from Richmond-based Medical College of Virginia.
4. He succeeds Michael Burnett, who was named CEO of Piedmont Athens (Ga.) Regional Medical Center.
