UNC Lenoir Health Care appoints Robert Enders CEO: 5 things to know

UNC Lenoir Health Care in Kinston, N.C., selected Robert A. Enders, Jr., to serve as CEO, effective in mid-April.

Five things to know:

1. Mr. Enders most recently served as president of Chatham Hospital in Siler City, N.C.

2. In addition, he has served in other leadership roles at UNC Health Care in Chapel Hill, N.C., including interim vice president of human resources.

3. He has prior experience as president and CEO of Morehead Memorial Hospital in Eden, N.C., now known as UNC Rockingham Health Care.

4. Mr. Enders holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond.

5. He succeeds Gary E. Black, who retired.
