St. Vincent Hospital Support appoints Peter Bastone CEO: 5 points

St. Vincent Hospital Support, a nonprofit charity and support organization, selected Peter F. Bastone to serve as president and CEO. The organization owns half of Santa Fe, N.M.-based Christus St. Vincent Medical Center along with Irving, Texas-based Christus Health.

Here are five points:

1. Previously, Mr. Bastone served as president and CEO of Chesapeake (Va.) Regional Healthcare.

2. He also has prior experience serving as president and CEO for Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo, Calif., and Mission Hospital in Laguna Beach, Calif.

3. He has participated on the boards of more than 20 organizations.

4. Mr. Bastone succeeds David Delgado, who will stay on as chair of SVHsupport’s impact investment committee.

5. SVHsupport provides impact grants to community organizations that focus on improving the health of the community. SVHsupport has given more than $25 million to fund local programs in Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico over the past nine years.
