Sparks Health System taps Stephanie Parson as chief quality officer

Fort Smith, Ark.-based Sparks Health System appointed Stephanie Parson, MSN, RN, chief quality officer.

Ms. Parson most recently served as quality department manager at Sparks. In that role, she oversaw the Joint Commission-accredited primary stroke and congestive heart failure programs. She joined the health system in 2001.

Ms. Parson holds a master of science degree in nursing leadership and management from Western Governors University, based in Salt Lake City.

In her new role, Ms. Parson will be responsible for developing quality initiatives and enhancing patient safety.
