Mr. Duquette has spent the last 13 years as CEO of Homestead (Fla.) Hospital, another Baptist Health South Florida facility, where he’s served in numerous other leadership roles, including vice president of operations, during his 30 years with the hospital.
Mr. Duquette serves on the board of the South Florida Hospital and Healthcare Association. He holds a master’s degree in public health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
He succeeds Lincoln Mendez as CEO of South Miami Hospital. Mr. Mendez was named CEO of Boca Raton (Fla.) Regional Hospital, effective in August. Boca Raton Regional Hospital is Baptist Health South Florida’s newest affiliate.
