South Georgia Medical Center taps C. Ross Berry to lead as CEO: 4 things to know

Valdosta-based South Georgia Medical Center named C. Ross Berry CEO, according to a Valdosta Daily Times report.

Here are four things to know:

1. Most recently, Mr. Berry was a principal at Stroudwater Associates, a national healthcare consulting firm, according to a previous Valdosta Daily Times report.

2. His previous roles include serving as president and CEO of Starus Medical Group in Tampa, Fla., as well as CEO of Shoals Hospital in Muscle Shoals, Ala.

3. He holds an MBA degree with a concentration in finance from Kennesaw (Ga.) State University.

4. He takes over for Heath A. Evans, who has served as interim CEO since March.
