Sparks Health names Stephanie Whitaker CNO: 5 things to know

Fort Smith, Ark.-based Sparks Health tapped Stephanie Whitaker, MSN, RN, to serve as CNO.

Here are five things to know:

1. Ms. Whitaker most recently served as market assistant chief nursing executive at Sparks Health.

2. Prior to that, she was market director of emergency and clinical services at the health system.

3. She came to Sparks Health from Asheville, N.C.-based Mission Health, where she was director of emergency services, observation and radiology nursing.

4. She is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives and American Association of Critical-Care Nurses.

5. Ms. Whitaker earned her MSN degree at Salt Lake City-based Western Governors University.
