1. Most recently, Mr. Evans served as COO of the medical center.

2. Prior to that, he worked as CEO of East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro and CEO of Shands Live Oak Regional Medical Center (Fla.), both part of Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems.

3. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

4. He holds master’s degrees in health administration and business administration from University of Alabama at Birmingham.
