South Baldwin Regional Medical Center taps new CEO: 4 things to know

South Baldwin Regional Medical Center in Foley, Ala., selected Daniel McKinney to serve as CEO, effective March 5, according to a Gulf Coast News Today report.

Here are four things to know:

1. Most recently, Mr. McKinney served as COO of Mary Black Health System in Spartanburg, S.C.

2. He has previous experience at South Baldwin Regional, where he served as assistant CEO from 2012 to 2015.

3. Mr. McKinney is the permanent successor to Keith Newton, who left for a new role.

4. He holds a master’s degree in health administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
