Santa Fe hospital CEO to leave for job with CHI

The CEO of Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center will leave his post at the end of October to become president of 468-bed Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Ky., part of Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives, according to the Santa Fe New Mexican.

Bruce Tassin has served as head of 200-bed Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center, Santa Fe’s only general hospital, since early 2013. He first joined the hospital in 2008 and served as COO until being promoted to CEO.

“I have been honored to serve as a leader of Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center over the last seven years,” Mr. Tassin said in a statement, according to the report. “The Santa Fe community has been incredibly welcoming, and I am proud of what we have been able to achieve together.”

The hospital has begun the search process for a new leader, according to the report.
