Pam Stoyanoff, president and COO of Methodist Health System in Dallas, has shared plans to retire, effective Dec. 31, after nearly two decades with the health system.
John Phillips has been promoted and will succeed Ms. Stoyanoff as executive vice president and COO, effective, Jan. 1, according to a news release from the system.
During her time with Methodist Health System, Ms. Stoyanoff played a role in the system’s transformation and strategic growth. She helped advance clinical quality, patient experience, employee engagement and operational excellence.
Ms. Stoyanoff also led Methodist from a three hospital system in 2008 to 13 hospitals through affiliation and ownership.
Prior to his new role, Mr. Phillips has served as president of the system’s Methodist Dallas Medical Center for the last eight years. He also served as president of Methodist Mansfield (Texas) Medical Center.
In his new role, Mr. Phillips will oversee Methodist’s seven wholly owned hospitals and multiple key corporate departments. He will work with senior leaders across the system to support care delivery and operations.
Methodist Health System also promoted John Myers, MD, MS, to executive vice president and chief physician executive.
Dr. Myers previously served as president of the Methodist Medical Group for nearly four years, leading the system through a growth period to more than 95 clinic locations and 450 physicians and advanced practice providers.
In his new role, Dr. Myers will work with physician leaders and the executive team across the system to advance clinical integration, innovation and physician engagement, the release said.
