Mr. Delgado most recently served as CEO of Los Angeles County and University of Southern California Healthcare Network.
Mr. Delgado was one of the final candidates for the top position, but was not the board’s first choice: Matt Gerlach was originally announced as Salina’s Valley Memorial’s new leader, but he turned the position down last week.
As president and CEO, Mr. Delgado will earn $450,000 per year.
