L. Reuven Pasternak, MD. CEO and Vice President for Health Systems of Stony Brook (N.Y.) University Hospital. In 2012, Dr. Pasternak became CEO and vice president of health systems for Stony Brooke University Hospital, a 597-bed facility with more than 5,500 employees. He previously served as CEO of Falls Church, Va.-based Inova Fairfax Hospital, where he also spent time as executive vice president of academic affairs. He oversaw Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children and the Inova Heart and Vascular Institute in addition to his responsibilities at the flagship facility. For most of his clinical career, Dr. Pasternak practiced at Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Medicine where he eventually served as vice chair for clinical affairs, pediatrics and the healthcare policy and management departments at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
