Rashard Johnson to serve as president of 2 Advocate Aurora Health facilities: 5 takeaways

Downers Grove, Ill.-based Advocate Aurora Health named Rashard Johnson president of Advocate South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest, Ill., and Advocate Trinity Hospital in Chicago, effective Sept. 24, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Here are five takeaways:

1. Most recently, Mr. Johnson served as vice president of operations and COO for CHI St. Luke's Health's Lakeside Hospital in The Woodlands, Texas, and Springwoods Village Hospital in Spring, Texas.

2. He was previously assistant vice president of support services for UT Southwestern University Hospitals and Clinics in Dallas.

3. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the National Association of Health Services Executives.

4. Mr. Johnson completed his master's degree in healthcare administration at the University of Central Florida in Orlando.

5. He succeeds Terika Richardson, who left to serve as president of Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Ill.
