Pocahontas Memorial Hospital CEO to retire: 4 things to know

Barbara W. Lay, CEO of Pocahontas Memorial Hospital in Buckeye, W.Va., is retiring, effective Oct. 1, according to The Pocahontas Times.

Here are four things to know:

1. Ms. Lay became CEO of the hospital in August 2010.

2. During her tenure, the hospital expanded it services and updated its facilities.

3. Ms. Lay has 23-plus years of experience in healthcare, previously working at Grantsville, W.Va.-based Minnie Hamilton Health System.

4. Pocahontas Memorial Hospital’s board has created a selection committee to identify a new CEO.
