Carolinas Hospital System names new CEO: 4 things to know

Carolinas Hospital System in Florence, S.C., selected Vance Reynolds to serve as CEO, effective April 30, according to a SC Now report.

Here are four things to know:

1. Most recently, Mr. Reynolds served as CEO of Aiken (S.C.) Regional Medical Centers.

2. He has worked the 259-bed Aiken Regional since 2015.

3. He holds an MBA from University of Texas in Dallas.

4. Mr. Reynolds succeeds Gary Malaer, who left to take over as CEO of Victoria, Texas-based DeTar Healthcare System.
