Ms. Short most recently served as chief nursing officer and COO of Nanticoke Health Services, which includes Nanticoke Memorial Hospital and the Nanticoke Physician Network. She has worked at Nanticoke Memorial for 36 years.
During her previous leadership roles, she helped the organization implement a Cerner EMR and achieve HIMSS Analytics EMR Adoption Model level 6 certification. She also helped Nanticoke Memorial Hospital receive accreditation as the first primary stroke center in Delaware.
Ms. Short is a member of the American Organization for Nurse Executives and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
