Cleveland-based Sisters of Charity Health System appointed Paul C. Hiltz permanent president and CEO of Mercy Medical Center in Canton, Ohio.

1. Mr. Hiltz has served as interim CEO of the hospital for the past year.

2. He was previously a senior adviser for the Mercy Health System in Cincinnati, formerly known as Catholic Health Partners.

3. He also has prior experience serving as network CEO of Springfield, Ohio-based Community Mercy Health Partners and president and CEO of Mercy Mt. Airy Hospital in Cincinnati.

4. Mr. Hiltz is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
