PatientMatters appoints company president: 3 things to know

PatientMatters, a revenue cycle management vendor, has named Allen Plunk president.

Here are three things to know about Mr. Plunk.

1. He has more than two decades of experience in the technology and related services sectors.

2. Most recently, he has served in several roles at Optum, a segment of UnitedHealth Group, including CIO and COO at revenue management services company Optum360. 

3. Prior to Optum, Mr. Plunk worked alongside Sheila Schweitzer, CEO and founder of PatientMatters, building revenue management services company CareMedic, now OptumInsight, part of Optum. Ms. Schweitzer was CareMedic’s CEO and Mr. Plunk was its CFO and COO.
