Parkview Medical Center selects COO: 4 things to know

Pueblo, Colo.-based Parkview Medical Center named Darrin Smith COO, effective in March 2019, according to The Pueblo Chieftain.

Here are four things to know:

1. Mr. Smith is currently vice president of human resources at the hospital.

2. He joined Parkview in 2006, prior to which he worked at the Trane Company, a heating and air condition servicing and manufacturing company.

3. He holds an MBA from Colorado State University-Pueblo.

4. Mr. Smith succeeds Leslie Barnes, who is transitioning into the CEO role.
