Here are four things to know about Mr. Byrd.
1. Mr. Byrd, a certified public accountant, became CFO April 17.
2. Most recently, he served as assistant CFO of Salem, Va.-based LewisGale Medical Center since 2013.
3. Prior to LewisGale, Mr. Byrd held various positions, including senior manager, controller and consultant for Virginia-based public accounting firms and a manufacturing company.
4. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Blacksburg, Va.-based Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
