Mr. Young passed away at the age of 61 years last week. The hospital district named him CEO in 2007. In an emergency board meeting, the hospital named Mr. Jackson to lead on an interim basis. Mr. Jackson most recently served as the hospital district’s attorney.

“I think Randall assembled a great team in the departments run so well. By law we need someone and I’m honored to temporarily serve. I won’t be an employee. I will be just an outside consultant. I’m honored to do that because I do think a lot of this district,” said Mr. Jackson, according to the report.
