Barstow Community Hospital names Matt Blevins CEO: 5 notes

Barstow (Calif.) Community Hospital hired Matt Blevins as its new CEO, according to a Desert Dispatch report.

Here are five notes:

1. Mr. Blevins most recently served as COO of Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City, Ill.

2. With two decades of experience in the healthcare industry, Mr. Blevins is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

3. He replaces interim CEO Kane Dawson, who took over after Steven Foster resigned in July.

4. He will assume his new role on Nov. 28.

5. Opened in 2012, Barstow Community Hospital is a 30-bed acute care facility.
