Pamela Reed promoted to CEO of Kindred Hospital Melbourne: 3 things to know

Pamela Reed, MSN, RN, has been promoted to CEO of Kindred Hospital Melbourne (Fla.), according to a Florida Today report.

Here are three things to know about Ms. Reed.

1. She has served in various roles at the facility, which is part of Louisville, Ky.-based Kindred Healthcare. These positions include cardiac/coronary care unit staff nurse, infection control prevention, director of quality management, risk manager and, most recently, chief clinical officer.

2. She earned a master’s degree in nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing in St. Louis.

3. Ms. Reed is a member of various groups, including the American Nurses Association, American Organization of Nurse Executives and Florida Society for Healthcare Risk Management and Patient Safety.
