Diplomat Pharmacy promotes executives: 4 things to know

Diplomat Pharmacy has promoted two executives as part of the company’s goal to align efforts for internal improvement.

Here are four things to know about the executives.

Robert Fleckenstein, previously vice president of operations, has been promoted to senior vice president of operations.

1. Mr. Fleckenstein oversees day-to-day operations of Diplomat’s national distribution center, patient service operations, call center, remote sites and other patient-facing services, according to a news release.

2. Prior to joining Diplomat in June 2010, he was vice president of pharmacy operations at Melville, N.Y.-based Allion Healthcare and at CVS ProCare mail service.

Gary Rice, previously vice president of clinical services, has been promoted to senior vice president of clinical services, education and human resources.

3. Mr. Rice joined Diplomat in June 2011.

4. Prior to Diplomat, he was vice president of operations at ITSRx, now a part of Orlando, Fla.-based AcariaHealth, where he provided operational and clinical leadership for the development of specialty and retail pharmacies, according to a news release.
