Orleans Community Health CEO Delores Horvath resigns

Delores Horvath, president and CEO of Medina, N.Y.-based Orleans Community Health, which runs Medina Memorial Hospital, resigned Feb. 13, according to the Rochester Business Journal.

Ms. Horvath named family obligations as the reason she stepped down.

Wendy Jacobson, COO and CNO, has been named interim president and CEO. Orleans Community Health currently has no plans to search for a permanent replacement, according to the report.

Ms. Horvath became CEO in June 2013. At the time, she was an employee of Health Tech Management Services, the Tennessee management and consulting firm Orleans County Health hired following the resignation of Ms. Horvath’s predecessor, CEO James Sinner. Mr. Sinner departed from the system in June 2013 after serving in the role for 15 years.
