Ohio State University names CFO among other leadership changes: 6 things to know

The Ohio State University in Columbus appointed Michael Papadakis permanent senior vice president of business and finance and CFO, a few days after selecting a chancellor for health affairs.

Mr. Papadakis oversees Ohio State’s $7 billion annual operating budget, which includes both the academic enterprise and the Wexner Medical Center. Becker’s Hospital Review ran an article Feb. 25 that mistakenly stated Mr. Papadakis will serve as CFO of Columbus-based Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Six things to know:

1. Mr. Papadakis has served as interim senior vice president and CFO of the university for the past year.

2. Prior to that, he was the university’s vice president and treasurer.

3. Mark Larmore remains vice president for health sciences and CFO of the Wexner Medical Center.

4. Ohio State University recently named Harold L. Paz, MD, executive vice president and chancellor for health affairs, effective in the spring.

5. As part of his new role, Dr. Paz will oversee the Wexner Medical Center enterprise, which includes seven hospitals.

6. Wexner Medical Center CFO Mark Larmore will report to Dr. Paz, once he assumes the new role.
