NY State Nurses Association appoints new investment officer

New York City-based New York State Nurses Association Pension Plan Benefits Fund has named a new chief investment officer, according to Chief Investment Officer Magazine.

Case Fell, the NYSNA’s director of research, has been promoted to chief investment officer. He’ll replace Russ Niemie, who had been in the position since 2000 but stepped down in February.

As of December 2014, NYSNA’s plan “had $3 billion in pension assets and a $98 million pool for healthcare and insurance,” according to the report.
