North Mississippi Medical Center Gilmore-Amory CEO J. Allen Tyra stepping down

J. Allen Tyra, CEO of North Mississippi Medical Center Gilmore-Amory, is resigning Dec. 13, according to the Monroe Journal.

Mr. Tyra is leaving to serve as vice president and COO of Rush Health Systems in Meridian, Miss.

He became CEO of North Mississippi Medical Center Gilmore-Amory seven years ago. During his tenure, the hospital became an accredited stroke center and expanded acute care services.

Mr. Tyra also led the hospital through its acquisition by Tupelo, Miss.-based North Mississippi Health Services earlier this year.
