New Jersey hospital taps chief nurse

Autum Shingler-Nace, DNP, RN, has been named chief nursing officer of Cooper University Hospital in Camden, N.J. 

Dr. Shingler-Nace joined the hospital — the flagship medical center of Cooper University Health Care — in 2023 as vice president of perioperative and procedural operations. As CNO, she will also continue to oversee surgical services, according to a July 23 news release. 

She has nearly 20 years of experience in both academic and community healthcare environments. Before joining Cooper University Health Care, she held leadership roles at Philadelphia-based Thomas Jefferson University Health and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Cooper University Health Care, which operates three hospitals, including its 663-bed flagship facility in Camden, employs nearly 14,000 team members and manages a network of more than 130 outpatient offices and specialty centers across the region.
